Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab said: 'I'm confident he'll pull through.' Meanwhile, the U.K. on Tuesday set a new high for COVID-19 deaths, with 786 succumbing to the disease.
U.K. Cabinet Minister Michael Gove also said Tuesday that he would begin self-isolating after a family member experienced COVID-19 symptoms.
Raab, who is leading the Cabinet in Johnson's absence, said:"I'm confident he'll pull through, because if there's one thing I know about this prime minister, he's a fighter. And he'll be back at the helm, leading us through this crisis in short order."
