The Bruins hadn’t lost in 357 days until they were outplayed in Oregon.

LOS ANGELES — UCLA football coach Chip Kelly told his players as they walked through the tunnel of Autzen Stadium in Oregon that it had been 357 days since the Bruins had lost a game. But the reflection wasn’t completely a negative one.

The Bruins’ offense was moving against Oregon, but the defense had “breakdowns at all three levels,” according to Kelly, as well as communication issues. “I don’t think you can ever forget the feeling of losing once you’ve gone through it,” quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson said. “But that loss on Saturday definitely had some deja vu from stuff in previous years, but I think right now we’re focused on Stanford.”UCLA’s defense gave up 545 yards of offense against Oregon. Mo Osling led all players in the game with 17 total tackles — seven of the solo variety.
