The 34-year-old also coached elite-level prep basketball at La Lumiere in LaPorte, Ind., from 2014 to 2017, amassing an 82-7 record including a national championship in 2017. The Express-News confirmed reports of Heirman’s selection last week. UIW will formally introduce him at a news conference Tuesday.
