"She taught me that everyone has the potential to give something back, that everyone in need deserves a supporting hand in life," William added. Twenty recipients from across the globe were honoured at Thursday's ceremony including three from Britain and the United States with other recipients coming from countries such as India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates and Jamaica.
