A fresh update has been published by campaigners concerning assessments which could be introduced for elderly drivers amid an investigation into introducing major changes to driving rules
New details have emerged about the possibility of driving test assessments for older drivers which could hit over-60s.
Specialists are now set to look into how feasible it would be to launch a “standardised mature driver assessment” scheme for older drivers that can be launched more widely, the Express reports. The study, which will take “a couple of years” will see a report drawn up and could issue recommendations for how to roll out a standardised test for mature driver assessment across the whole of the country.
