Thousands of rockets have been fired from the Gaza Strip toward highly populated areas. In response, Israeli airstrikes have pounded Hamas in Gaza, killing thousands. Officials believe there are an estimated 1,700 Palestinians with European or U.S. citizenship in Gaza.
As of Tuesday afternoon, a link to the 'Urgent Relief for Gaza's Children' fundraiser is featured under Rapinoe's Instagram account. The campaign was created by Palestine Children's Relief Fund. According to the PCRF's bio, the Ohio-based charity organization is a 'nonprofit humanitarian organization providing medical relief to children in the Middle East.
