Some NSW residents are 'scared, angry and frustrated' that vaccines are being reallocated, and health experts say this could further erode confidence in the rollout.

Belinda Pigram made her appointment seven weeks ago and was excited to be doing her bit in the battle against COVID-19, but that came to a crashing halt after receiving her cancellation text.

"It does feel a little bit like The Hunger Games. It feels like we're watching the Capitol and District 12 has missed out," she said.Ms Pigram feels like her community has been left in limbo. At a press conference on Monday, Premier Gladys Berejiklian was asked if it was a coincidence many of the vaccines were taken from Labor seats on the Central Coast.

"We've locked down when we've needed to lock down, we've stayed home, we've adjusted our lives completely around what the advice has been. "This has clearly gone hand in hand with a not really clever communication strategy on AstraZeneca, which has created a lot of hesitancy in the community," he said.

He is calling for consistent messaging on vaccines and greater incentives from the government to address the issue.
