MURRIETA — The Vista Murrieta girls volleyball team was one point away from seeing a historic season coming to a shocking conclusion.

Perhaps no player exemplified that more than Vista Murrieta senior outside hitter Claire Little, who had 32 kills in Tuesday’s match. Little, who is signing with BYU on Wednesday, had nine kills in the third set, including the one that sent the match to a fourth set.
“Their No. 2 was very skilled and moving the ball around well,” Montes said. “I think my hands and big block was able to slow her down a little bit. We needed to try something different and I think that adjustment was very important in us coming back to win.” Little had the kill to send the Broncos to match point and delivered one last time by tooling the block to set of a celebration on the court.
