Taiwanese singer-actress Vivian Hsu recounts her experience getting trapped in a flash flood in Singapore while trying to buy her son's favorite food. Heavy rain caused flooding along Bukit Timah and Dunearn Roads, forcing Hsu and her friends to seek shelter in a shopping mall.

She wrote: "After coming out of a cafe with my friends, I was on the way to buy my son's favourite food from Din Tai Fung. "This is the first time in Singapore where I felt cold sitting in my car… I needed to go to the toilet badly and didn't know how long I would be trapped. I got out of the car, stepped into the water and ran straight into a shopping mall. I only managed to get out of this difficulty after an hour and bought my son's favourite dishes from Din Tai Fung.
