Garter snake causes stir aboard United Airlines plane in New Jersey
The snake was identified as a reticulated python, which is found throughout Southeast Asia. The species is one of the world’s largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes,. The massive reptiles live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities — meaning it’s not uncommon for them to clash with humans.
“I’m afraid if I open the door there will be a snake hanging there again. I’m still scared,” she said. “Many people messaged me asking if I was okay, and I told all of them that I am okay but I’m still terrified after what happened.”
