Finders aren't always keepers. Wallet with $4,000 lost in Times Square returned to owner
A man in New York City was on his way to work Wednesday when he realized he had lost his wallet somewhere in Times Square, according to NBC New York. Eduardo Martinez, the owner of the wallet, said it contained $4,000 in cash.Martinez returned to the area to look for the wallet when two police officers approached him. A woman had discovered the wallet on her way to work and turned it in to the police.
Martinez said in Spanish that he was grateful to the woman and police for helping him and noted that there are still honest people in the world.New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced Friday that, effective March 7, the city will end its COVID-19 vaccine mandate for businesses and scrap its mask requirements for children over 5 in public schools. Adams touted the city's low level of COVID-19 transmission, saying,"The rates are low enough that the mandatory program is no longer needed.
