“Epic films are meant to be experienced on the big screen,” Chief Content Office of Cinedigm Yolanda Macias said in a statement. “The sensory immersion that comes from watching films like this in theaters not only enhances the experience in the moment but reminds us why we love going to the theater in the first place. High-quality action and animation are what summer movies are made for.
“In the film, King Gesar was born to a divine lineage and was destined to become a great hero and ruler,” reads the synopsis. “As a young man, the future king grew up exiled in a realm overrun by menacing demons and monsters.
