WATCH: Outraged homeowner goes full Thor on his newly renovated cabinets with a hammer.

Owning a home of your own is great — it’s a major step in adulthood, up there with filing your taxes and paying your bills on time. Any homeowner will tell you the joy they felt upon receiving their keys or entering their freshly renovated place for the first time.

But not this guy, no. Reportedly furious at his interior designer for what he believed to be a shoddy renovation job, the dude grabbed a hammer, got someone to film him, and unleashed the full magnitude of his rage on the quivering kitchen cabinets. Seems like they angered him so badly he decided they deserved to be destroyed — that way, he wouldn’t have to live with them. Even if they were offered to him for free, he’d reject them, the man vented.

The clip, posted yesterday on Free Interior Design Singapore Ideas’ Facebook page without much of an explanation, quickly went viral, perplexing viewers as to the reason for his agitation. The fixtures looked fine, they said. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary, they said. Perhaps he was on a tight budget but expected more bang for his buck and ended up sorely disappointed, they said.

Ironically enough, the cabinets mostly held their own against the might of his hammer, which ended up merely leaving dents in the doors. Only one actually fell off after enduring multiple whacks, startling the indignant man into greater aggravation. Well, sure, if we went into full beast mode every time we found a flaw in our homes, they might not survive either. We’re no experts on carpentry, but it sure seems a waste to smash random holes into perfectly alright-looking pieces of wood. But hey, you do you, uncle. This article, , originally appeared on Coconuts, Asia's leading alternative media company.
