Alabama radio voice has returned to booth after one-year health-related absence

ESPN’s College GameDay will air a feature Saturday on Alabama football radio play-by-play man Eli Gold, chronicling his return to the booth after a one-year absence while battling cancer.
“The Gold Standard,” produced by veteran ESPN writer and broadcaster Ryan McGee, will air during GameDay, which originates live from Tuscaloosa to promote Alabama’s Saturday night showdown with Texas on Saturday.
