MILWAUKEE - Former President Donald Trump has formally accepted his party’s nomination for president on the final night of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.
The opening acts have included former Fox News host Tucker Carlson, who joked about Biden’s age and praised Trump as “the funniest person I’ve ever met.” Ms Linda McMahon, the former WWE chief executive, who was the head of the Small Business Administration under Trump, praised him on tax policy and Mr Mike Pompeo, one of his secretaries of state, hailed him on national defence.following his disastrous debate performance three weeks ago.
Trump said in an interview with the New York Post this week that he had thrown out his planned remarks after the assassination attempt, but he has not delivered on previous suggestions he would embrace a new tone.Trump expected to describe his personal experience of the shooting as he calls on Americans to unify behind him, according to prepared excerpts provided by his campaign.
