The Enterprise native becomes the youngest Republican woman ever to serve in the U.S. Senate and the second youngest woman ever to serve in the U.S. Senate.
In keeping with traditional protocol, U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville as Alabama’s new senior senator escorted Senator-elect Britt to the Vice President, who administered the oath as the Senate’s presiding officer. Members of Senator-elect Britt’s family witnessed the swearing-in from the Senate gallery.
