"In the past half-hour, we had a thunderstorm pass into Big Sur with lightning associated with it," Roger Gass, a forecaster with the weather service said."It's not going to be an all-day rain event, more spotty in nature." Thursday night and early Friday will likely offer a break from the stormy conditions, but by later Friday, the next system is set to swoop into the North Bay before pushing into the central Bay Area.
