The suspect had reportedly threatened to shoot the officer, but was found unarmed.
Two officers were out on patrol when they found the suspect who matched the family’s description “traveling eastbound in a westbound lane” on his bicycle near the area of W. Martin Street, according to Chief McManus. According to the bodycam footage, the suspect then said, “I have a gun, I’m going to shoot you,” two times to the police officer who was fighting with him and then “made a motion toward his waistband,” said Moscoso.
