West Virginia mother of five Marrisa Dawson was allegedly beaten to death by her new husband just a month after their wedding day during an at-home post-Thanksgiving brawl.

The complaint says a friend by the name of Tyler Truman arrived at the home on Maple Avenue in Alderson, West Virginia, around 9 a.m. Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, and dialed 911 upon finding Marrisa in the residence on the floor. The caller also noted how Marrisa’s vehicle was missing. Alderson police responded.
"Upon a post-mirandized interview, Zachary Hess Dawson admitted being responsible for her death and takes responsibility for it," the complaint says. Police said Dawson admitted to striking Bennett the night before and into the early morning during an argument.
