My husband and I read the book, then on a Friday night, we started the routine. Once we got to the part where she cried, she really leaned into it. She wailed. Our baby, who almost never cried during the day, was sobbing in a way her lungs had never tried. It was heartbreaking, but we followed our instructions to a tee.
