Kourtney Kardashian Adds Chlorophyll to Her Water—But Does It Really Do Anything?
Largeman-Roth says that while chlorophyll is found in dark, leafy greens, such as spinach and kale, the supplement itself has no proven benefits for hydration or detoxifying the body. That’s not to say that taking the supplement is harmful if you want to try it, but Largeman-Roth explains that you can reap the same benefits from eating vegetables, which give you the added benefits of fiber and other nutrients.
“Adding chlorophyll to water is nothing new! I did it back in the 90s when I was working in a health food store. The products they’re selling today are no different, though some brands are selling the water pre-mixed, which seems like a rip off,” Largeman-Roth says. “Just buy the concentrate if you want to try this trend.”
