Audio reveals an intense shootout that resulted in the death of one Pennsylvania State Police trooper and the suspect. Another state trooper was injured in an earlier related shooting.

A second state trooper was shot in an earlier related incident in Mifflintown. Further information has not been released regarding his status. Police said the incident began when police “encountered an armed subject in the area of the Troop G Lewistown Station Saturday morning. They said that at around 12:45 p.m. the person believed to be involved in that incident “engaged troopers in Mifflintown Borough” and began shooting at an occupied police cruiser.
