Wolverhampton Wanderers have signed Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira to replace the sacked Gary O'Neil.

Wolverhampton Wanderers have agreed a deal to appoint Portuguese manager Vitor Pereira as their new coach, following the dismissal of Gary O'Neil, according to Sky Sports on Tuesday. Pereira is currently in charge of Saudi Arabian club Al-Shabab, who are sixth in the Saudi Pro League. Pereira's managerial experience includes stints with Flamengo, Fenerbahce, Olympiakos, and Porto, among others.

Wolves parted ways with O'Neil on Sunday after a string of losses left them occupying the bottom spot in the Premier League. Sky Sports reports that Wolves have finalized compensation with Al-Shabab and reached personal terms with Pereira, who is anticipated to sign a one-and-a-half-year contract. Wolves are currently 19th in the league table with nine points from 16 matches after a 2-1 home defeat to promoted Ipswich Town on Saturday, extending their losing streak to four games
