A woman was injured when she was run over by a truck Thursday morning while she was sleeping in a Mission Valley restaurant parking lot, San Diego police said.
The crash happened about 5:15 a.m. as the truck driver was leaving Bully’s East restaurant on Camino Del Rio South. The truck ran over the woman’s body, and she was taken to Scripps Mercy Hospital to be treated for serious injuries, the officer said.The driver stayed at the scene and was cooperative with police. The department’s Traffic Division was investigating.
