Retired doctor Andrew Townsley took home £500,000
Doubting himself, Townsley told Clarkson: “I don’t know the answer, it’s just too much money to lose. Having got so far, to go on a whim would be foolish,” with the presenter joking back: Choosing to take his safety net amount of £500,000, Townsley was cheered by the audience, only for the former medical worker to reveal to Clarkson that had he chosen, he would’ve gone for the correct answer, the Isle of Man TT.
