BUTUAN CITY - Singer Yeng Constantino has posted bail after a Surigao del Norte court ordered her arrest over a cyberlibel case filed by a doctor she had criticized in a video blog.
"Our client Ms Yeng Constantino-Asuncion, has posted bail and an Order approving the same has just been signed," he said. "We shall be addressing the charges in the coming days," the singer's camp said.
She filed the charges months after the singer alleged in a Youtube video that the physician did not adequately attend to her husband Yan Asuncion who met an accident in Siargao last year. "Ngayon lang kasi kami nabigyan ng kopya so I have to ask my provincial director as to the status kasi 'yung kaso bailable lang ng P30,000 so kung live pa 'yung warrant of arrest she could be subjected to arrest," he said."The PMA is always open and offers its venue for a possible peaceful settlement between Dr. Tan and Madam Yeng Constantino," the group said in a statement.
