Smoke was rising from a car found lying on its side on a pavement in Yishun.November 25, 2024 3:25 AMThe 38-year-old cabby told Shin Min Daily News that he was waiting at the traffic light when he heard a sudden loud bang.According to the eyewitness, the male driver opened the door on his side to let his female passenger climb out of the flipped car.
"I turned left and saw the woman running towards the emergency department of Khoo Teck Puat Hospital," he added.While he saw a clear liquid leaking from the car, the cabby said he did not see any smoke. "I was shaking all over because the car missed hitting me by a few centimetres," he recounted, adding that he felt lucky to have survived as he had a newborn son.
"Fortunately, there were no pedestrians on the pavement at the time, or the consequences would have been disastrous," he said.
