The stars did not take legal action earlier as they thought the matter would be resolved over time, but that was not the case. Together with other affected owners, including Chinese actors Jia Nailiang and Lin Yongjian, they have set up a committee to jointly file a lawsuit against the relevant parties.
After news about the incident broke, netizens were surprised that celebrities would be scammed, and pointed out that if a lawsuit was filed, it would become a"money-burning war".
