The aircraft landed safely and the airline reports no injuries to the 221 passengers and 10 crew members on board.

Santiago/Getty According to Chuck Paterakis, vice president of transportation for Schmidt Bakery and owner of the H&S Family of Bakeries, the truck belonged to Baker’s Express and the driver was en route to deliver goods to a Newark airport depot.
In dash camera footage captured inside the vehicle, the driver, Warren Boardley, appears to sing as he travels along the New Jersey Turnpike. The clip appears to capture the moment the plane hit the top of the tractor-trailer, with the camera falling and the footage becoming scrambled. The extremely loud whistle sound of an incoming plane can also be heard in the moments leading up to the hit.
“The driver of the tractor-trailer sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital," the New Jersey State Police spokesperson says. Paterakis says Boardley received cuts from broken glass. The trailer portion of the truck was not damaged and the products inside were intact, he added..
“Because it could have been the opposite of what happened, and a little help from God went a long way tonight for everybody on the plane, and including the driver. ” United told PEOPLE “our maintenance team is evaluating damage to the aircraft,” adding, “We will conduct a rigorous flight safety investigation into the incident, and our crew has been removed from service as part of the process.
