A memorial service was held yesterday for filmmaker Benny Chan, who passed away last month, at the St. Benedict Church in Sha Tin.

As reported on Singtao Daily, following the memorial service, the funeral will take place three days later on 7 September, where his remains will be taken to the Cape Collinson Crematorium.However, both services will be held in a low-key manner due to the pandemic, and will only be attended by family members, close friends, and several members of the industry.
Benny, known for movies like"White Storm" and"City Under Siege", passed away on 23 August after battling nasopharyngeal carcinoma. His last directorial effort was"Raging Fire", starring Donnie Yen and Nicholas Tse, which has yet to be released in cinemas.
