At this point, I began to become uncomfortable and advised him to tell her that he's happy and to block her. I assumed that this was what he did and put it out of my mind. This is where things get messy and I need your help. Last night, I went through his phone — which I never do, but we have full access to each other’s phones by choice.
"I don’t want someone else ruining my relationship, because it’s truly not his fault that she’s texting him after three years — likely because he’s finally settling down. But it is his fault that she’s not blocked and he still has her naked photos on his phone. I’m heartbroken. Is this over or do I try to fix it?"
You can either sit down with him, talk through how you felt upon seeing the messages and really let him hear you. Tell him how you're feeling, because unless he really knows — outside the heat of the moment — that his actions caused that kind of reaction, there's no way for him to actually correct his behaviour.
