President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. has expressed his intention to talk to former senator Leila de Lima after three inmates took her hostage on Sunday morning, October 9.Marcos said this after she was heldby three high-risk inmates who attempted to escape from the Custodial Center of the Philippine National Police at Camp Crame in Quezon City.

“Following this morning’s incident at Camp Crame, I will be speaking to Senator De Lima to check on her condition and to ask if she wishes to be transferred to another detention center,” he said. The Philippine National Police identified the suspects as Arnel Cabintoy, Idang Susukan, and Feliciano Sulayao Jr.

A certain Patrolman Matias witnessed the incident and warned the three inmates to let go of his buddy, but the three inmates continued stabbing Agutin. This prompted Matias to open fire, hitting Cabintoy and Susukan.
