The incident was captured on video and posted to social media.
A Mobile police officer has been placed on administrative leave and an investigation is underway after a video shows the officer beating a handcuffed man during an arrest last week.
Officers on the scene detected the presence of marijuana and asked both the driver and passenger to exit the vehicle. Although police have not confirmed, it’s presumed Dubose is the man seen in the video with the officer, since the unidentified passenger was not taken into custody.
