Phoenix police said the man hit was taken to a hospital and pronounced dead. The woman driving the car stayed on the scene and cooperated with the police.As of Friday afternoon, Phoenix police said this was still an active investigation, with traffic in all directions being closed until the investigation is completed. No names have been released as of Friday afternoon.
