It was just another at work – until he stumbled upon an envelope containing an ID, a passport and $10,000 in cash.
Mr Soh Sin Chye, a customer service officer at SBS Transit, had been conducting a security check on a train that had just arrived at Harbourfront MRT station on Oct 1 when he saw the envelope wedged in between train seats.
About two hours later, a distressed passenger arrived at the station looking for his envelope – which Mr Soh personally returned to him.The passenger, an Indonesian-Chinese man, was happy and relieved. He also told Mr Soh that the money was meant for his medical bills, reported SBS Transit praised Mr Soh in a Facebook post on Oct 21 and said:"Sin Chye's integrity and exceptional service truly reflect the values of our CARES culture.
