A truck driver fled the scene of an accident after colliding with two motorcycles on Monday night, leaving the riders injured. The incident occurred along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE).
Three individuals were injured after a truck collided with two motorcycles on Monday night (February 17) along the Seletar Expressway (SLE) towards the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE). The incident occurred at approximately 10:35 PM. According to the police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF), the two male motorcycle riders and their female pillion passenger, all aged between 20 and 35, were transported conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
A video circulating on social media, posted by the SG Road Vigilante Facebook page, captures the moment of the accident. The footage shows a truck signaling to change lanes to bypass ongoing roadworks in its lane. As the truck merges into the rightmost lane, a motorcycle with a pillion rider in that lane attempts to slow down to avoid the truck. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collide, resulting in the truck driver continuing on their journey without stopping. Near the end of the video, a worker at the roadworks site can be seen rushing to assist the injured riders.A Facebook post by a friend of one of the victims revealed further details about the injuries sustained. They stated that the first male rider suffered a spinal injury, while the female pillion passenger had her hand run over by the truck's wheel, as reported by Shin Min Daily. The police, upon being contacted, confirmed that they were alerted to the hit-and-run accident involving a truck and two motorcycles along the SLE towards BKE on February 17, 2025, at approximately 10:35 PM.
