Woman talks suicidal man off the ledge with Linkin Park lyrics

According to a video by the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Settanni was commuting on Orlando's State Road 408 expressway when she noticed a man sitting on the edge. “I did pass him at first, I saw him,” she explained. “I didn’t really think about stopping, but I thought as I saw him in my rearview, I probably should stop, especially since no one else did.”

“I know what it’s like to stand on the ledge and think that that’s your only option," she continued. "He needed somebody to show that somebody cared enough to stop and enough to tell him he didn't need to do that today." To further comfort him, she referred to lyrics from Linkin Park's "One More Light": "Who cares if one more light goes out / Well I do.” The band's frontman Chester Bennington died by suicide in 2017 .
