Men continue to earn more than women in Singapore. YahooFinance
A woman gets 87 cents in pay for every $1 earned by a man in Singapore, according to a report by Glassdoor.
Glassdoor used a sample of 5,096 salaries reported by full-time employees in Singapore aged over 16 who worked from 2016 to 2018. The average base pay per year was $71,631 for men and $61,653 for women, or a pay gap of $9,978. “Singapore is one of the world’s great financial, technology, and manufacturing centers. However, our study shows there is still room to improve on equal pay for men and women in the Singaporean economy, to assure that top career opportunities are open to all workers,” Andrew Chamberlain, chief economist of Glassdoor, said.
